A word from the Queens
Lexi Hayden
Being Braintree Carnival Queen I have made some of the best memories. Over the past 3 years, I have met lots of new people and I have become more confident.
My court and I were chosen to represent Braintree in 2020 and we had to wait a long time to officially start the reign but the wait was so worth it.
I am so glad I go to share my experience with my princesses Olivia and Porsha.
At every carnival we would always give it our best and have a laugh. I will never forget the time when our speakers stopped at Stanford and Corringham Carnival and how we had to sing on the float without any music!
I would like to thank the committee for all their hard work into getting the Carnival backup and running and I would also like to thank our Court Chaperones Ann and Holly for helping me get to and from carnivals.
I wish all the best for the new court and I hope they enjoy their time representing Braintree as much as I did.

“Over the last few years I have had so much fun being Senior Princess, I have enjoyed singing and dancing on the float, having lots of laughs on the fairground rides and making friends with the other carnival courts.
It has been a privilege representing Braintree & Bocking, I have gained so much confidence and made so many memories With Queen Lexi and Princess Porsha.
I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone on the committee and all the hard work they put in and especially Ann and Holly for taking us to all the carnivals and all their help.

Porsha Hughes
As my time of being a carnival princess for Braintree and Bocking, I have been very lucky to have experienced the opportunity to attend many carnivals all over Essex.
I’ve made some amazing friends within the carnival court and community.
I am very grateful for getting the chance to wear the most beautiful dresses and being Braintree’s Carnival Princess.
