"An emotional send off"

Olivia Green

Over the last year being queen I have gained so much confidence.

I have had so much fun with these girls and made 3 amazing friends, Raven with your cheeky smile and saying how many dogs we see in the procession, Darcey your dancing at the dances and you and Raven wanting to be flung around, Porsha, over the past 3 years we have made so many memories, including the McDonald’s updates, the meetings where we don’t stop talking and the constant mugs you take of me.

My favourite memory was when you all dragged me up that huge hill and found nearly a whole tree to chase each other around with.

I would like to thank Karen and Jason for all the time and effort you put into decorating and fixing the float.

Ann and Holly I would like to thank you for everything you do, dress picking and agreeing to go to Chessington and London with us.

I won’t ever forget how anxious Ann was in the queue at Chessington.

Layla, thank you for being my taxi most of the time and I will miss the constant photos.

I would like to thank everyone on the committee, and all of the hard work they put in and I would like to wish you girls all the best in the future and I hope the new court have just as much fun as we have, and enjoy every second of it.

Raven O’Connor

My name is Raven. I am 7 years old and I am Braintree and Bocking Carnivals’ Rosebud.
Being a rosebud I have enjoyed waving on the float and meeting new people.

My favourite memory was when Karren kicked off to get us on the rides for free.

Olivia, thank you for making sure that I was always OK, giving me cuddles, dancing with me and playing my favourite songs.

Porsha, thank you for making me laugh, spinning me around, sharing your makeup and getting the bugs out of my dress when we were running around.

Darcey, thank you for playing games with me and singing songs, sharing your treats and making me smile.

Ann, thank you for making sure we are OK, organising everything and you are an amazing dancer.

Thank you to all the parents especially Jason for driving the float. I have enjoyed it a lot and I will miss you all very much.

Thank you for choosing me be your Rosebud.

Darcey Minton

I would like to thank Olivia, Porscha and Raven for a fun year.

I have had a great time as Braintree’s Junior Princess.

Thank you to all the chaperones and a big thank you to our driver Jason for always keeping us safe on the road.

Porsha Hughes

Throughout my time of representing Braintree and Bocking as their senior princess, I have had made many wonderful memories within the year with Olivia, Darcy and Raven which I will cherish forever.

It has been a pleasure to be able to sing and dance on the float and make lots of new friends within the carnival but has also given us all the opportunity to have spent the year together as a court .

The carnival has been helping me a lot with building my confidence because of the environment of it but also the people within it.

It has been an absolutely incredible year and I will never forget it.

Throughout the year I have made strong friendships with all of the court and they all made every carnival as special and fun as they could and I’m very proud of all of them and what they have achieved this year.

Throughout the past 4 years, Olivia has been my one of my bestest friends and I have spent every carnival with her laughing and having the most amazing time.

I will forever remember everything we have done and achieved together.

Although I have only known Darcy and Raven for 1 year, it feels like I have known them forever, they both make everyone laugh and put a smile on my face every time I’m around them.

I will miss everyone very much but I will always remember them all.

To finish off my speech, I would love to thank everyone on the carnival community for all of their support and hard work that they dedicated into the carnival this year.
We couldn’t have done it without you.
